AboutFace-USA® Volunteer Terms and Conditions
Introduction:
Welcome to AboutFace-USA®, and thank you for your commitment to supporting our veterans. Your volunteerism is invaluable to our mission, and we are thrilled to have you join our community. Please carefully read the following terms and conditions before commencing your volunteer activities.
Compliance with Mission:
As a volunteer, you are expected to uphold the values and mission of AboutFace-USA® at all times, promoting a culture of respect, dignity, and support for our veterans and their families.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
Your role as a volunteer is to support AboutFace-USA® operations and events, following all guidance and instructions provided by your supervisors. Detailed role descriptions will be provided separately for each volunteer assignment.
Training and Supervision:
You agree to participate in all necessary training sessions and to work under the supervision of AboutFace-USA® staff or designated team leaders.
Time Commitment:
You agree to commit to the time and dates as outlined in your volunteer schedule. If you’re unable to fulfill your scheduled commitment, notify the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible.
Confidentiality:
Volunteers must keep all information regarding veterans, their families, and sensitive organizational details confidential, except as required by law or when authorized by AboutFace-USA®.
Liability Release:
By agreeing to volunteer, you do so at your own risk and agree to release AboutFace-USA®, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liability, and damages that may arise from your volunteer activities.
Photo and Media Release:
You consent to the use of photographs, videos, and audio recordings taken during volunteer activities for aboutface-USA®’s promotional, educational, and informational purposes.
Compliance with Laws and Policies:
Volunteers agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as AboutFace-USA®’s policies and procedures, including safety and conduct standards.
Volunteer Benefits:
While AboutFace-USA® deeply appreciates the efforts of all volunteers, you understand that volunteer work does not entitle you to any monetary compensation or benefits typically provided to paid staff.
Termination of Volunteer Relationship:
Either the volunteer or AboutFace-USA® may at any time decide to terminate the volunteer’s relationship with the organization. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, failure to comply with policies, procedures, or other terms and conditions, as set forth by AboutFace-USA®.
Agreement:
By continuing with the volunteer registration process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth above.
