2025 Veteran’s Day Celebration: Salute to Service 🇺🇸

This Veterans Day, our community came together for an evening filled with gratitude, reflection, and powerful stories of service. 🇺🇸 We are proud to share that, thanks to your generosity, we raised $8,546.00 toward our $10,000 goal. ❤️ Your support directly strengthens our programs that empower veterans and their families to heal, grow, and thrive.

We were honored to welcome State Representative Todd Jones as our keynote speaker. Representing District 25, Rep. Jones has long been a dedicated advocate for veterans and families in Forsyth County. He delivered inspirational words, sharing personal experiences that shaped his commitment to mental health awareness, substance abuse prevention, and community support. His leadership and passion remind us of the critical importance of accessible services for those facing life’s challenges.

We also had the privilege of hearing from Tommy Clack, a decorated Vietnam veteran, triple amputee, and lifelong champion for those who served. Wounded in combat in 1969, Mr. Clack transformed adversity into purpose, devoting his life to mentoring veterans, supporting their families, and helping lead the Walk of Heroes Veterans Memorial. His heartfelt words and remarkable resilience left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mike and Keegan, our outstanding MCs, for guiding the evening with heart, laughter, and kindness. A very special thank-you goes to our dedicated volunteers and staff, whose hard work and commitment made this event possible. We are also grateful to King’s Hawaiian for donating the signature bread that made our sliders a hit! Guests also enjoyed delicious sandwich bites from Marie’s Italian Deli that included microgreens from our very own AboutFace FARM and refreshing mocktails throughout the evening, adding to the festive and memorable experience. Lastly, we'd like to congratulate all of our raffler winners for their exciting prizes, we hope you enjoy them!

This Veterans Day gathering was a meaningful reminder of the strength and compassion within our community. With your continued support, AboutFace-USA will keep connecting veterans and their families to essential services, including mental health support, financial coaching, transportation assistance, and opportunities for stress relief and growth through our aeroponic community farm. Thank you for helping us continue this mission and for standing with us as we work to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served. 💙 🇺🇸
